About
An independent non-governmental organisation in Baghdad that produces the knowledge decision-makers need and makes it available to everyone.
Who we are
Alrai Alrashid Center for Studies was founded in Baghdad in 2015 as a non-profit, non-governmental organisation registered with the NGO Directorate. The Center works in four connected fields: studies and research papers, opinion polls and field surveys, institutional consulting, and training programmes.
The Center began with a team of five researchers. Today it has specialised research units and a network of associate researchers and field teams in every province. Over eleven years it has published 184 publications, organised 96 events and trained more than 2,400 trainees.
The Center is committed to full independence from parties and political bodies, and publishes its funding sources and audited financial statements in its annual report.

The General Assembly elects the Board of Directors every three years, and the Board appoints the Executive Director. The Advisory Board gives independent academic advice and does not intervene in day-to-day management.
Advisory board
The Advisory Board reviews the annual research plan and gives the Center's management independent academic advice, and its members take part in reviewing publications within their specialisations.
