Center signs memorandum of understanding with the University of Baghdad on research cooperation

Alrai Alrashid Center for Studies has signed a three-year renewable memorandum of understanding with the University of Baghdad, aimed at connecting academic research with the needs of decision-makers.
The memorandum provides for joint supervision of postgraduate research papers on topics proposed by the Center each year, the sharing of non-personal field data for research purposes, and free places for university students on the Center's training programmes.
What does the memorandum include?
- A joint committee that selects six research topics each academic year.
- Small research grants for the three best student papers.
- Ten free places a year on the Research Methodology and Public Policy Analysis programmes.
- An annual joint seminar presenting the papers' findings to government officials.
We want a young researcher's work to reach the decision-making table, not stay on a library shelf.
Work under the memorandum begins with the current academic year, and the first research topics will be announced in October.
