School Dropout at the Intermediate Stage: Feasible Retention Policies

The paper identifies the factors most closely linked to dropout at the intermediate stage, based on a survey of schools in three provinces, and proposes a package of four low-cost interventions: early warning, conditional cash support, school transport and catch-up classes.
